I used to feel more uncomfortable with the "Great Sorting" narrative. It can have - for me at least - echoes of a Judgement Day or a Rapture, where those deemed worthy will follow one trajectory and those deemed unworthy will follow another.

But that is only one analogy, from within a worldview that either affirms or rejects an arbitrary external authority. Here is another...

The collaborative co-creators - Source, Earth Mother, and all in alignment at that level - weave form, and within that form there are currents. Not so unlike the way our Earth creates mountains and plains and forests, and these direct the flow of rivers. And we can choose which river to ride, which current to follow. Sometimes, if we don't like the river we're on, we can walk a few miles to a different one that will carry us to a whole different coastline, through entirely different experiences and ecosystems. And sometimes, if we are already well downstream, the journey to a different river can be long and arduous and require great courage and determination. And sometimes the canyon walls close in and the current strengthens and we discover we are committed, that our previous choices have set us on a course that removes - temporarily - our ability to choose, until we have been carried into calmer waters in new lands. Rivers of souls, flowing into and out of dimensions through ever-evolving landscapes and passageways. And there is no such thing as a bad river, a lesser river. Only divergence in experience and ultimately reunion in the great ocean of Source.
